About GLH
Gospel Lighthouse was founded in 1988 by Apostle Reginald White. The first service was held on the third Sunday of June at 408 Mclntosh Street. "Have faith in your Prayers" was the first sermon. Apostle White began construction of a new sanctuary two years later in April 1990 and completed it in September of the same year. In 1995 the original structure was totally remodeled and an additional 40 feet was added to the building. In May of 1996 GLH purchased the property at 407 W. Mclntosh and broke ground at this location for the GLH Logistics Center on February 6, 2000. The Logistics Center was completed in July 2001, but underwent construction again in 2004 to add two additional classrooms. In 2005 GLH Sanford acquired the Watson property on McIntosh Street. In 2008, this property was cleared to serve as the site for the new GLH Transition House. In 2008 GLH Sanford also acquired property on the corner of Woodland Avenue and McIntosh Street to serve as the new Administrative Office and Media studio. The property was remodeled the same year and is currently in operation.
