About Greater Gospel Lighthouse
In 1990 the Lord spoke to Apostle White while he was still working on building the ministry in Sanford and told him to go to Rockingham where he founded Greater Gospel Lighthouse. The official service was held on the third Sunday in May of 1991 in a storefront on Greenlake Road. During this time, one acre of land was purchased on one year later, on June 26th 1993, he held the official opening service of GGLH. In November 1992, September 1993 and January 1996 Apostle White purchased additional land adjoining GGLH bringing its total land acquisition to 14 acres. In 1996 the original GGLH sanctuary was expanded by 75 feet and in 1998 classrooms and a fellowship hall were added; increasing the current facility to 12,500 square feet. In 1999 Cheryl Everett donated property on East Washington Street to the ministry. Two additional lots were acquired in the same location; the first in 2003 and the second in 2006. In 2005 the Lord spoke to the heart of Apostle White concerning a free clinic in this location. The first Compassionate Care Free Clinic Day was held in September 2005. Remodeling of the site began and in September 2007 Apostle White proudly cut the ribbon. to open the first Free Clinic in Richmond County!
